Job Title: Postal Clerk

Reports To: Retail Clerk/Mail Clerk
Job Purpose:
To assist the Mail/Retail Clerk in tasks related to customer service, mail handling, cash handling, and mail processing, ensuring efficient postal operations and excellent service delivery.
Main Duties:
- Revenue Collection:
- Sell postal products and services to the public.
- Collect revenue for private bag and box rentals, COD services, and other newly introduced retail services.
- Transaction Processing and Balancing:
- Issue ordinary and telegraphic money orders based on customer requirements.
- Cash money orders upon production of valid identity documents.
- Record daily transactions for retail services in the cash book.
- Balance books of accounts for retail services.
- Mail Acceptance and Delivery:
- Accept incoming mail, registered items, and parcels from customers.
- Deliver outgoing mail items at the counter to customers.
- Mail Circulation Duties:
- Perform duties related to the circulation of mail, ensuring smooth operations.
Knowledge and Skills:
Qualifications:
-Certificate in Business Studies or Management.
-A minimum of three years of working experience in a related role.
Skills:
- Computer proficiency.
- Knowledge of basic accounting principles.

-Strong customer service orientation.
-Excellent interpersonal skills.
-Self-motivated with strong interaction capabilities.
