Responsibilities

As a Guest Experience Expert, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Guest Relations:
    • Actively listen and respond to guest inquiries, concerns, and requests in a positive and timely manner.
    • Engage with guests regarding their stay and local attractions, offering personalized recommendations.
    • Ensure a warm welcome and fond farewell for all guests, addressing them by name whenever possible.
    • Assist other team members to ensure prompt and efficient guest service.
  • Guest Services:
    • Arrange transportation and other services such as entertainment, religious services, and dry cleaning as per guest requests.
    • Manage access to public space devices like televisions and computers, providing troubleshooting assistance when necessary.
    • Communicate with relevant departments (e.g., Front Desk, Housekeeping, Security) to resolve guest issues.
  • Check-in/Check-out:
    • Process guest check-ins and check-outs, verifying reservations and securing payment.
    • Ensure accurate billing and resolve any disputes or late charges.
    • Maintain updated records of room status and special requests.
  • Cash Handling:
    • Process payments, balance receipts, and follow proper procedures for cash handling.
    • Manage petty cash and resolve discrepancies in accordance with company policies.
  • Reports and Recordkeeping:
    • Run daily reports, including arrivals and departures, and ensure all data is accurate.
    • Document shift activities in logs and report any relevant information to management.
  • Communication and Teamwork:
    • Provide clear and professional communication to guests and colleagues.
    • Assist coworkers and ensure tasks are completed to meet company standards.
    • Foster positive relationships with guests and team members to maintain a productive work environment.

Requirements

Education and Experience:

  • A diploma or equivalent education is preferred.
  • A minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar role within the hospitality industry is desirable.

Skills and Personal Attributes:

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with fluency in English.
  • Proficient computer skills and basic mathematics.
  • Ability to work under pressure while maintaining a positive demeanor.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to multitask effectively.
