Position Overview
Puratos, a global leader in baking, pastry, and chocolate ingredients, seeks a professional and reliable Driver to ensure efficient and satisfactory delivery of products to customers. This role involves maintaining high customer service standards while handling company vehicles responsibly and adhering to operational and safety protocols.
Key Responsibilities
-Load and verify stock manually against delivery invoices before departure.
-Deliver goods to customers efficiently and professionally while adhering to all traffic regulations.
-Ensure all customers sign delivery invoices to confirm receipt of goods.
-Record product temperature on dispatch documents when applicable, counter-signed by the receiving party.
-Handle Cash on Delivery (COD) payments and ensure their accuracy and security.
-Assist with the offloading of stock at customer premises and manage stock upliftment as required.
-Maintain cleanliness and perform regular inspections of the delivery vehicle.
-Report any issues encountered during trips and submit related administrative documentation.
-Actively engage with customers to address any delivery-related concerns.
-Perform additional duties based on operational needs.
Minimum Requirements
-Grade 12 (Matric).
-Valid Code 10 Driver’s License (Code 14 is advantageous) with a valid Professional Driver’s Permit (PDP).
-2-3 years of experience driving a Code 10 vehicle.
-Ability to travel extensively and work beyond standard hours, including weekends and overtime.
-Proficiency in reading and writing English; knowledge of other local languages is beneficial.
-Basic arithmetic skills.
-Strong communication skills and a customer-centric approach.
-Physically capable of handling stock manually.
