Overview
AECI Botswana is recruiting for the position of Quality Check Personnel at Motheo Copper Mine. The role involves operating stemming equipment, adhering to SHEQ standards, and supporting safe and compliant loading operations.
Key Responsibilities
-Safely operate the Stemming Loader for stemming activities in line with company procedures
-Ensure stemming is completed on time
-Conduct daily housekeeping of the Stemming Loader
-Perform first-line maintenance on the Loader (e.g., greasing, routine checks)
-Implement Safety, Health, Environment and Quality (SHEQ) standards
-Ensure compliance with regulatory and statutory requirements
-Adhere to the mineβs traffic management plans
-Assist during Stemming Loader breakdowns and service routines
-Perform pre-start checks and fault reporting
-Conduct on-bench condition assessments prior to stemming
Requirements
-Cambridge Oβ Level / BGCE certificate or equivalent
-Minimum 2 yearsβ experience in a PLTS (Prime, Load, Tie and Shoot) open pit environment
-Valid driverβs licence
-Valid Open Pit Blasting Licence
-Must be a Botswana Citizen
-Fluent in both Setswana and English
-Experience in AECI products is an added advantage
