We are excited to offer a hands-on Apprenticeship opportunity in our Groceries Operating Unit in Randfontein. If you are a dynamic, self-motivated individual with a passion for Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, this program will allow you to gain practical experience alongside experienced Artisans.
Key Responsibilities
-Assist with the maintenance of electrical and mechanical machinery, including Medium Voltage (MV) and Low Voltage (LV) systems.
-Prepare design drawings using AutoCAD, including drafting electrical construction documents.
-Perform tasks such as drafting, modeling, and data analysis under Artisan supervision.
-Participate in project site investigations to document existing electrical and mechanical systems and equipment.
-Attend internal project meetings to review project status, resource coordination, and assignments.
-Contribute suggestions for future equipment upgrades.
-Support in breakdowns, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis.
-Identify risks related to electrical equipment, including equipment lifespan assessments.
-Ensure all tasks align with HACCP and safety requirements.
Minimum Requirements
- Education:
- N6 Qualification in a relevant field.
- Knowledge and Skills:
- Basic understanding of engineering principles (Mechanical and Electrical).
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) software is advantageous.
