Job Title: Code 14 Driver
Job Description:
Our Transport Department is seeking dedicated Code 14 Drivers to join our team. As a Code 14 Driver, you will be entrusted with operating various code 14 vehicles efficiently and responsibly. Your duties will include:
- Safeguarding the vehicle and its cargo.
- Conducting daily inspections of the vehicle and promptly reporting any issues.
- Loading and unloading diverse materials and equipment.
- Ensuring strict adherence to the Road Traffic Act and prioritizing the safety of all road users.
- Compliance with regulations outlined in the Occupational Health and Safety Act, company policies, and road regulations.
- Familiarity with routes within the Gauteng area.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Minimum Grade 12 certificate.
- Valid, unendorsed Code 14 license with a valid PDP.
- At least 3 years of driving experience.
- Practical and hands-on approach to tasks.
- Proficiency in driving vehicles with manual gearboxes.
- Experience with operating a Mounted Grab Crane, skip, or RoRo will be advantageous.
- Proficiency in reversing a draw-bar trailer.
