Position Overview:
Studio 88 Group of Companies is seeking a dynamic and customer-focused Sales Assistant to join our retail team. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting customers, driving sales, and maintaining store standards to ensure an exceptional shopping experience.
Key Responsibilities:
-Assist customers in finding products and provide a high level of customer service.
-Process transactions accurately and efficiently using point-of-sale (POS) systems.
-Maintain an organized and visually appealing store, including restocking, folding, and organizing merchandise.
-Support sales efforts by upselling and cross-selling products.
-Participate in inventory control, including stockroom organization and conducting spot checks.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Education: Grade 12 or equivalent.
Experience:
- Previous experience in a retail environment, preferably in clothing stores.
- Proven ability to meet or exceed sales targets.
- Experience in maintaining store presentation and organization.
- Proficiency in cash handling, POS systems, and inventory control procedures.
Skills:
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
- Ability to upsell and cross-sell products effectively.
- Knowledge of clothing brands, sizes, and fashion trends.
- Basic understanding of visual merchandising principles.
- Strong time management skills and ability to work under pressure.
- Ability to build and maintain positive customer relationships.
