Overview

Senwes Equipment is seeking a qualified Heavy Vehicle Driver to ensure the smooth operation and maintenance of vehicles for effective stock distribution and delivery to various outlets. This position requires timely, secure transportation while adhering to safety and regulatory standards, as well as maintaining vehicles in optimal working condition to ensure reliable stock delivery.

Job Responsibilities

Vehicle Operation:

-Perform general transportation tasks as assigned by the branch manager.

-Ensure the timely and accurate delivery of loads to the correct destination.

-Secure all loads properly for safe transport.

-Follow all traffic regulations and submit daily invoices and fuel slips.

  • Ensure vehicle license disk is valid and tyre pressure is correct.
  • Safely operate and store the vehicle when not in use.
  • Carry out additional driving tasks as required.

Vehicle Maintenance:

  • Provide feedback on vehicle performance to management.
  • Manage delivery documents, invoices, fuel slips, and accident reports.

Distribution/Delivery of Stock:

  • Verify and load the correct products onto the vehicle.
  • Collect mail and parcels when necessary.
  • Ensure safe loading and unloading of stock.
  • Obtain proof of receipt with signatures for all deliveries.
  • Deposit received cash on a daily basis.

General Stock and Support:

  • Maintain the cleanliness of the vehicle.
  • Provide additional support and assistance as instructed by the branch manager.

Requirements

  • Valid code 14 driver’s license.
  • Strong communication and written skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Effective planning and organizational abilities.
  • Keen attention to detail and sound decision-making skills.
