Overview
Seriti, Middelburg Mine Services, is looking for an Operator FEL on a fixed-term contract. This role involves executing production or logistics activities according to the schedule and operating physical assets, plant, and equipment in compliance with HSEC requirements, operations standards, and operating procedures.
Responsibilities
–Equipment Operation: Operate equipment, evaluate onsite conditions, make tactical decisions, and determine appropriate responses.
–Operational Adherence: Follow operational requirements, principles, and procedures, including maintenance and training on personal protective equipment.
–Reporting: Ensure timely and accurate reporting of all events and hazards.
–Incident Response: Respond promptly to a wide variety of incidents.
–Equipment Maintenance: Maintain and securely store equipment, ensuring scheduled maintenance checks are completed to the required standard.
–Pre-Shift Checks: Conduct pre-shift checks, prioritize tasks for the day, and record findings.
–Rehabilitation Area: Perform grass cutting and planting in the rehabilitation area.
Requirements
- Education: Grade 10 (Math, Science, and English).
- Licenses:
- Valid machine license for a Front-End Loader.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Testing: Subject to a Dover test and must meet the minimum requirements.
- Skills:
- Proficiency in spoken English.
- In-depth knowledge of mining machinery and safety rules and regulations.
- Fitness: Possession of or ability to obtain a valid Certificate of Fitness.
How To Apply:
