Position Overview
Shoprite Group is looking for a Display Assistant (Driver) to manage the transportation, setup, and dismantling of displays for in-store presentations, outdoor posters, and special events. The successful candidate will ensure efficient delivery and setup of promotional materials, supporting the company’s marketing efforts.
Key Responsibilities
-Transport equipment to various locations, ensuring timely and efficient delivery.
-Set up and dismantle displays for in-store presentations, outdoor posters, and special events.
-Collect equipment from suppliers and deliver it to stores or event sites.
-Handle new and revamped store setups, including the transportation and installation of sales posters and external displays.
-Install and maintain in-store posters, repairing or replacing them as necessary.
-Assist with event setups, including branded gazebos, flyers, and telescopics.
-Ensure the proper care and maintenance of the vehicle used for transportation.
-Follow assigned delivery routes, optimizing for efficiency and timely execution.
Job Requirements
-Grade 12 (Matric) qualification.
-Valid Code 8 or 10 driver’s license (PDP preferred).
-Physically fit and capable of handling the demands of the role.
-Trustworthy, reliable, and well-spoken with strong communication skills.
-Ability to build and maintain good relationships with suppliers.
-Willingness to work on weekends and public holidays.
-Comfortable driving long distances.
Experience
- Experience in collecting and transporting equipment for stores or events.
- Setting up and dismantling displays, including posters and branded materials.
- Managing multiple deliveries, ensuring timeliness and efficiency.
- Familiarity with event setups, including branded materials like gazebos and telescopics.
Knowledge and Skills
- Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and safe driving practices.
- Ability to navigate long-distance routes efficiently.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally while representing the company.
