The Site Courier role plays a pivotal part in our operations, providing essential messenger and general administrative support functions to our laboratory/site.

Minimum Requirements:
- Grade 10 qualification
- Grade 12 or relevant NQF level 4 qualification preferred
- 0-1 years of relevant working experience
Relevant Job Knowledge:
- Computer literacy
- Understanding of organizational policies and procedures
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Performing hospital rounds, delivering reports, and collecting samples following standard operating procedures to maintain workflow efficiency.
- Sorting and distributing internal/courier mail to ensure accurate and timely delivery to respective departments.
- Taking telephonic messages to uphold operational standards and maintain the company’s image.
- Assisting in receiving and dispatching specimens for processing according to prescribed procedures.
- Scanning specimen bar codes to support tracking processes.
- Maintaining basic housekeeping standards in the working area according to established procedures.
- Delivering stock to wards and doctors’ rooms to ensure the availability of necessary materials.
- Representing the organization through the application of customer care principles in the medical pathology field, interacting professionally and ethically with patients, clients, doctors, and hospital staff.
- Applying health and safety best practices in accordance with relevant legislation and procedures.
- Adhering to Lancet uniform protocols as per established procedures.
- Performing Meditech functions if required by the region, once competent on-site: Dictionary Enquiries, Result Enquiries, Result Printing, Mailbox system (MOX).
