The South African Police Service (SAPS) Special Task Force (STF) is on a mission to bolster its ranks and combat the high turnover rate within the Special Task Force: Division of Visible Policing and Operations.

Who We’re Looking For:
We’re seeking dedicated individuals who possess exceptional skills and training. If you have prior experience with the STF or equivalent military training (e.g., South African Special Forces), we want to hear from you.

Position and Benefits:
Successful candidates will be appointed as STF Operators/Members, holding the esteemed rank of Warrant Officer. For those who have previously held a rank of Captain or above, equivalent rank consideration is on the table, pending availability. Expect a rewarding five-year commitment to the SAPS.

Requirements:
Candidates must meet the following criteria:

  • Valid driver’s license and firearm competency.
  • Adherence to National Instruction 18 of 2019 (Integrity Management) regarding Remunerative Work.
  • Demonstrated fitness and shooting proficiency.
  • Completion of refresher or conversion courses.
  • Suitability for appointment confirmation.

  • Confirmation from the candidate’s former Commander regarding any pending criminal/departmental matters upon resignation.
