Application Requirements:
To apply, please take note of the following:
- You must register a profile on the application system before submitting your application.
- Applicants must be South African citizens residing in Gauteng.
- You must have one of the following qualifications:
- Senior Certificate
- National Senior Certificate
- Currently in Grade 12
- National Vocational Certificate in Primary Health
Application Deadline:
Submit your application via the GPG Professional Job Centre system on or before October 11th, 2024. Late applications will not be accepted.

Academic Requirements:
For each qualification, the following subject criteria apply:
Senior Certificate:
- English: HG D or SG C
- Biology: HG D or SG C
- Mathematics: HG D or SG C
- M Score of 17
National Senior Certificate:
- English: Level 4
- Life Sciences: Level 4
- Mathematics: Level 4 or Math Literacy: Level 5
- APS of 27 or higher (Life Orientation counts as half)
National Vocational Certificate:
- 50% in Fundamental Subjects (English First Additional Language, Math/Math Literacy, Life Orientation)
- 60% in Vocational Subjects (SA Health Care System, Public Health, The Human Body and Mind, Community Oriented Primary Care)
Current Grade 12 Learners:
Grade 11 final results must meet the National Senior Certificate requirements.

Important Notes:
- Shortlisted applicants will undergo a compulsory psychometric assessment. Those who pass will proceed to a medical examination and documentation verification.

Program Commitments:
- Successful applicants will sign a learning contract with the Gauteng College of Nursing.
- You must be willing to participate in Work Integrated Learning (WIL), which includes shifts and working on public holidays, weekends, and nights in Gauteng Department of Health facilities.
