Location: Bethal, Mpumalanga, South Africa (Govan Mbeki Clinic)

Overview

We are looking for a skilled Data Capturer to join our team in Bethal. The successful candidate will support the Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) Specialist by capturing and consolidating facility and partner data. This role includes managing weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports to ensure accurate and timely data submission.


Key Responsibilities

-Capture and consolidate facility data on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis.

-Update databases regularly with collected data, ensuring it is structured and formatted correctly.

-Maintain a register of responsible individuals for data submission at each facility.

-Monitor data submission timelines and notify the M&E specialist and relevant staff if submissions are delayed.

-Collaborate with colleagues and project management to meet project objectives.

-Work with the Department of Health and TB HIV Care staff to capture relevant subject-related information.

-Perform filing and other administrative duties as required.


Requirements

Essential:

  • Grade 12 certificate.
  • Experience with TIER.Net software and/or prior data capturing experience using TIER.Net.
  • Knowledge of HIV/AIDS.
  • At least 2 years of experience working with Department of Health (DoH) data or monitoring and evaluation (M&E) systems, from patient-level records to District Health Information System (DHIS) level.
  • Experience in data collection and capturing.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, etc.).
  • Clear criminal record.

Desirable:

  • Tertiary qualification.
  • Experience with data capturing or collection in the public health sector.
  • Familiarity with the District Health System and public health sector operations.
  • Ability to communicate in English and isiXhosa.
