Position Purpose:
The Data Capturer will assist the Data Quality Officer and M&E Coordinator by capturing and consolidating data from health facilities and partners. The role also involves compiling weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Grade 12 (level 4) qualification
  • National certificate or training in HIV, AIDS, and STI programs
  • Age range: 18 to 24 years old
  • Background or interest in HIV and public health
  • Self-motivated to attend training sessions and complete assessments for accredited training
  • Reside near the identified health facility
  • Proficient in MS Office
  • Ability to communicate in English and isiXhosa (preferred)
  • Clear criminal record

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Capture and consolidate facility data
  • Ensure timely receipt, capturing, and consolidation of weekly, monthly, and quarterly data
  • Update databases with required data
  • Format and structure data according to guidelines
  • Maintain a register of data submission contacts for each facility
  • Notify M&E Coordinator and relevant staff of late data submissions and maintain records
  • Collaborate with colleagues and project management to achieve project goals
  • Work with Department of Health and THC staff to capture relevant information
  • Perform filing and other administrative tasks as needed
