Overview

The Eastern Cape Department of Education is seeking 21 enthusiastic individuals to fill the positions of Teacher and Class Assistants at various schools in the province. These roles are ideal for candidates with a Grade 10 qualification and require no prior experience. Successful candidates will provide support to teachers and learners, contributing to a productive and supportive learning environment.

Responsibilities

As a Teacher and Class Assistant, your responsibilities will include:

-Assisting teachers in managing classroom activities and maintaining discipline.

-Helping learners with tasks during lessons and providing additional support where needed.

-Preparing teaching materials and resources as directed by the teacher.

-Supporting learners during group work or individual assignments.

-Ensuring classrooms and learning spaces are neat and organized.

-Supervising learners during break times, school trips, or extracurricular activities.

-Performing any other duties as assigned by the teacher or school management.

Requirements

To be eligible for this position, applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Educational Qualification: Minimum of Grade 10.
  • Experience: No prior experience required.
  • Skills and Attributes:
    • A passion for working with children and contributing to their development.
    • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work collaboratively with teachers and staff.
