Overview

The City of Ekurhuleni is looking for reliable and motivated individuals to join the Economic Development Department as Delivery Partner Drivers. This role is offered on a six-month temporary contract, providing an excellent opportunity to contribute to the city’s operational needs while gaining valuable work experience.


Minimum Requirements

-Must be a South African citizen.

-Resident of Ekurhuleni.

-Possess a Grade 12 certificate.

-Currently unemployed.

-Not participating in the City of Ekurhuleni’s Job Creation Programme.


Core Responsibilities

1. Delivery Tracking:

  • Use the Delivery Partner app to accept, monitor, and complete delivery tasks.
  • Provide real-time updates on delivery statuses to ensure customers and stakeholders are informed.

2. Time Management:

  • Efficiently plan routes and delivery schedules to meet deadlines.

3. Compliance with Safety Regulations:

  • Adhere to all traffic laws, safety protocols, and company regulations while driving.

4. Equipment Care:

  • Maintain cleanliness and basic upkeep of delivery vehicles (motorbikes) and gear.

5. Cash Handling and Payment Processing:

  • Accurately manage cash transactions and payment processing during deliveries.

6. Professional Appearance:

  • Wear company-branded uniforms and maintain a neat, professional appearance.

7. Reporting and Feedback:

  • Submit daily reports detailing completed deliveries and highlight any issues encountered.

8. Adherence to Company Policies:

  • Attend mandatory training sessions and meetings to stay informed about updates to policies and operations.

9. Basic Maintenance and Refueling:

  • Perform routine maintenance checks, such as tire pressure and oil levels, and report technical issues promptly.
