Overview
The University of Botswana seeks a qualified and dynamic individual for the position of Part-Time Lecturer in Pharmacy within the School of Pharmacy, Faculty of Health Sciences. This position involves teaching and coordinating a Pharmacology course for the Nursing (Hon) Degree Programme on a part-time basis.
Key Responsibilities
-The successful candidate will:
-Teach and coordinate the Pharmacology course for the Nursing (Hon) programme.
-Facilitate learning through tutorials and workshops.
-Assess and monitor students’ progress.
-Prepare, moderate, and evaluate examination papers and results.
-Provide supervision and mentorship to learners.
Qualifications and Requirements
Essential:
- PhD in Pharmacology or a related field.
- Master’s degree or equivalent in Pharmacology, Clinical Pharmacy, Therapeutics, or related areas.
- Relevant Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy, including pharmacology modules.
Preferred:
- Evidence of governance and social engagement in pharmacy practice-related fields.
- Proven teaching experience at a university or similar institution.
Consideration for Master’s Degree Holders:
Candidates with a Master’s degree in relevant fields (or a degree in Pharmacy as their highest qualification) may be considered if they hold a relevant Bachelor’s degree with a 2(i) pass or equivalent.
