Position Overview

We are looking for two skilled Junior Technicians to join our team in Gaborone. The successful candidates will assist with installations, on-site technical support, stock control, and compliance tasks. Key Responsibilities

New Installations

-Assist with installations to ensure products are operational and compliant with specifications.

-Ensure product appearance reflects the brand and site fit-out meets required standards.

-Install CCTV systems and test machines on-site.

-Set up the Evolution system and report task completion to the Technical Manager.

On-Site Technical Support

-Execute project activities as per the project plan.

-Respond promptly to needs and requests while escalating complex issues to the Technical Manager.

-Address complaints and disputes timeously on-site.

-Provide professional support to clients.

-Assist with callouts, machine maintenance, and basic site tasks such as fit-outs, refurbishments, and electrical work.

-Perform testing to ensure proper setup of components when machines are commissioned or altered.

Stock Control

-Maintain accurate records of spare parts used.

-Complete stock usage forms to ensure proper inventory tracking.

Compliance

-Ensure adherence to Internal Control Systems (ICS) and Internal Control Procedures (ICP).

-Maintain compliance with gambling authority regulations and health and safety standards.

-Accurately complete maintenance registers for malfunctions and repairs.

-Update the Central Electronic Monitoring System (CEMS) during commissioning, alterations, or decommissioning of machines.

CEMS and Reporting

-Verify the security and proper setup of SKPs, DLs, data cabling, and power cabling.

-Identify, report, and resolve variances and issues with CEMS.

-Test, repair, and return faulty equipment to the Finance Department.

-Ensure all machines are secure from tampering.


Qualifications and Experience

  • Education:
    • Grade 12/Botswana General Certificate of Secondary Examination (BGCSE).
    • Relevant vocational or technical qualification with 1–3 years of experience (based on qualification level).
  • Experience:
    • 2–3 years of technical or electrical experience (gaming industry experience is an advantage).
  • Additional Requirements:
    • Employee Gaming License.
    • Valid Driver’s License.
    • Ability to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
    • Willingness to travel between sites.
    • Physically fit to move heavy equipment and perform hands-on electrical repairs.
    • Good eyesight is essential.
