Overview
Tshwane University of Technology is committed to empowering individuals through knowledge. We are currently seeking a qualified and experienced Driver to join our Logistical Services Transport Department at our Ga-Rankuwa Campus.
Responsibilities
-Provide efficient services for TUT fleet vehicles as scheduled and/or requested.
-Transport students for academic purposes.
-Transport employees for meetings, workshops, and lecturing.
-Conduct pre-trip vehicle inspections.
-Report accidents to the transport officer.
-Maintain accurate records of kilometers traveled on log sheets.
-Report all minor and major damages to vehicles.
Requirements
- Education: NQF Level 1 General Education and Training (Grade 9/ABET Level 4 National Certificate)
- Driver’s License: Code 14 with a Public Driver Permit (PDP)
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in a similar role
- Skills:
- Knowledge of current road traffic rules and regulations, including public driving requirements and basic vehicle inspection and maintenance.
- Basic mechanical knowledge to handle minor on-the-spot breakdowns.
- Strong customer care and communication skills.
