JOB PURPOSE:
We are seeking a Tyre Serviceman Learner who will report directly to the Branch Manager. This development program aims to ensure the proper maintenance of tires, adherence to service level agreements, and contribute to the overall goals of Bridgestone.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Tyre Maintenance:

  • Inspecting tires on vehicles before and after installation
  • Performing tire rotations, balancing, and other maintenance tasks
  • Following all safety protocols while working in the shop
  • Providing excellent customer service
  • Communicating with customers about any issues they are experiencing

Stock:

  • Daily stock taking in a Bridgestone Commercial Stock Book
  • Reporting daily stock to the customer and signing off Stock Sheet
  • Branding all tires in stock for identification

Health & Safety:

  • Correctly lifting motor vehicles
  • Utilizing correct tools for the job
  • Correctly fitting tires to rims
  • Ensuring compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act
  • Maintaining a clean and safe work area

Administration:

  • Capturing tire survey info in a Bridgestone Commercial Survey Book
  • Capturing all tire movements in a Bridgestone Commercial Tyre Change Slip Book
  • Keeping records of all paperwork in a safe and dry place

Customer Liaison:

  • Identifying and reporting all maintenance-related problems to the customer
  • Maintaining a good working relationship with the customer

General Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring customer satisfaction at all times
  • Following maintenance procedures and safety protocols
  • Performing daily equipment maintenance

REQUIREMENTS:

  • National Senior Certificate
  • Proficiency in English
  • 2 years of tire experience
