About Us:
Africa Foundation is dedicated to sustainable development across various sectors, including Education, Healthcare & Clean Water, Environment & Conservation, Small Business Development, and Youth Empowerment. As part of our commitment to empowering communities, we are launching a Youth Empowerment Programme in collaboration with YES4Youth, AndBeyond, and Nedbank. This joint initiative aims to provide quality, paid work experience to unemployed youth for a duration of 12 months.
Position: Unemployed Youth (Multiple Positions Available)
Location: KwaZulu-Natal communities – KwaMakhasa, KwaMnqobokazi, KwaNibela, KwaJobe, KwaNgwenya
Responsibilities:
- Work within project and program-oriented environments
- Develop professional skills under the guidance of a supervisor
- Contribute to initiatives focusing on environmental issues and community empowerment
Requirements:
Applicants must possess the following:
- Matric certificate
- Certified ID copy and qualification documents
- Community-based in areas where Africa Foundation operates
- Age between 18-27 years before the start date (01 May 2024)
- Police clearance certificate (or willingness to obtain one)
- Black South African citizens as per BBBEE code
- Unemployed as of 01 May 2024
- Not a previous YES4Youth placement
- Tax number or willingness to obtain one
