Job Title: Ultra-heavy Motor Vehicle Drivers

Overview:

We are seeking skilled and experienced Code 14 Drivers to join our team. The successful candidates will be responsible for operating ultra-heavy vehicles and ensuring the safe and efficient transportation of goods. This role requires a professional with a strong commitment to safety, adherence to standard operating procedures, and the ability to work under various conditions, including weekends and public holidays.

Responsibilities:

-Prepare and inspect the vehicle before each trip to ensure it is in optimal condition.

-Safely load, transport, and offload goods as per operational requirements.

-Manage and handle all necessary documentation related to vehicle operations.

-Follow instructions from the supervisor and complete all assigned tasks.

-Maintain a clean and safe driving record, adhering to all traffic regulations.

-Uphold high standards of housekeeping for the vehicle, uniform, and personal protective equipment (PPE).

-Comply with standard operating procedures (SOPs) and safety protocols.

-Successfully complete medical evaluations, USCS training modules, induction processes, and practical driving evaluations.

Requirements:

  • Grade 12 or equivalent qualification.
  • Valid Code EC driver’s license with a valid Professional Driving Permit (PrDP).
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience driving ultra-heavy vehicles.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience driving Superlink/Interlink combinations.
  • Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
  • Proficient in defensive driving techniques.
  • Knowledge of emergency reporting procedures and defect management.
  • Ability to conduct thorough vehicle inspections and operate fire extinguishers.
  • Competence in maximizing vehicle cost-effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Familiarity with vehicle loading and offloading techniques.
  • Reliable personal transportation to and from work.
  • Clean criminal record.
  • Medically fit to perform job duties.
