Overview
Vision Elevators, a local elevator company with offices in Durban, Cape Town, and Johannesburg, is seeking a young and dynamic individual to oversee stock management and assist with deliveries.
Responsibilities
- Manage the receipt and dispatch of all warehouse stock.
- Monitor stock levels and place orders for low inventory.
- Plan and coordinate all deliveries from the factory to the site.
- Conduct quarterly stock takes and cycle counts.
- Oversee branch tools and perform vehicle checks.
- Handle any ad-hoc procurement requirements that arise.
- Manage the return of damaged parts to the factory.
Additional responsibilities include:
- Assess site conditions and inform Procurement of any offloading requirements.
- Forklift Requirements: If needed, the Factory Manager must obtain two quotes for approval from Procurement.
- Tog Labour Requirements: Follow the complete tog labour approval process if required. Construction teams can only be used for offloads with prior approval from the Construction Manager.
- Hoarding Requirements: Hoarding must be approved by the Sales Manager and arranged by the Factory Manager.
Requirements
- Matric certificate
- Valid driver’s license
- Forklift license
- Computer literacy
- Own vehicle
- SAP experience (highly advantageous)
