Overview
Swift Worldwide Logistics is seeking a reliable, ambitious Warehouse Controller/Driver (Code 10) to own day-to-day warehouse operations while handling company deliveries and collections. This hybrid role suits a hands-on professional who combines disciplined warehouse control with safe, punctual driving and confident customer interaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Warehouse Operations
- Control receiving, packing, storage, and dispatch of goods.
- Maintain accurate stock records, labels, and documentation.
- Oversee safe loading/offloading and cargo handling.
- Keep the warehouse organised, clean, and compliant with HSE standards.
- Monitor equipment, pallets, and packaging materials.
- Driving & Transport
- Complete deliveries/collections to and from clients, airports, and warehouses.
- Ensure on-time, safe transport aligned to schedules.
- Complete delivery notes, PODs, and related documents.
- Perform daily vehicle checks and report maintenance issues.
- Comply with traffic laws, safety protocols, and company policies.
- Leadership & Teamwork
- Supervise and coordinate general warehouse staff.
- Act as the link between warehouse team and management.
- Lead by example in safety, punctuality, and professionalism.
- Support continuous improvement across warehouse and transport functions.
Requirements & Skills
- Valid South African Code 10/EC driverβs licence; PDP advantageous.
- 2β4 yearsβ experience in warehouse operations and/or professional driving.
- Forklift licence advantageous.
- Working knowledge of inventory systems, paperwork, and cargo handling.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Physically fit; able to assist with manual loading/unloading when required.
