Overview:
Wispeco Aluminium, a leading supplier of Aluminium Extrusions and Hardware in Southern Africa, is looking for a reliable and experienced driver to join our team in Thohoyandou. The role involves ensuring timely and accurate deliveries across various regions while maintaining high standards of customer service and vehicle care. The ideal candidate will have excellent navigation skills, a clean driving record, and a strong commitment to safety and punctuality.
Responsibilities:
-Complete all deliveries in both existing and new regions punctually and accurately.
-Plan efficient routes to minimize delivery times and fuel costs.
-Ensure quick loading of goods to maximize productivity and reduce vehicle turnaround time.
-Collect returned goods from customers, ensuring all relevant documentation is completed correctly.
-Obtain valid Proof of Delivery and payments from customers as required.
-Maintain a friendly, professional demeanor, ensuring customer service is consistently rated as excellent.
- Prevent excessive vehicle wear and tear by adhering to traffic rules and promptly reporting any incidents.
- Keep all documentation and trip analysis records neat and up to date daily.
- Safely pack and securely strap vehicle loads to prevent product damage or loss.
- Assist in picking, loading, and checking stock for delivery, taking accountability for all goods loaded.
- Ensure the vehicle is roadworthy, maintained, serviced, and kept clean, with daily inspections and accurate trip sheet completion.
- Assist with warehouse activities and housekeeping as needed.
- Participate in stock takes to ensure inventory accuracy.
- Be available to work overtime and Saturdays as required.
- Actively contribute as a member of the Conways team, performing additional functions requested by management to enhance branch productivity and support self-development.
Requirements:
- Education: Matric/Grade 12 or equivalent; recognition for prior learning (experience) will also be considered.
- License: Valid EB (Code 8) driver’s license with PrDP; C1 license would be advantageous.
- Experience: Knowledge of Wispeco’s architectural Aluminium Systems and Hardware is preferred.
