World Vision – Technical Development Coordinator

Overview

World Vision is seeking a Technical Development Coordinator to support Food Security and Economic Development initiatives within the Area Programmes. The role focuses on community capacity building, networking, and partnerships to promote Livelihood and Resilience, Food Security, and Economic Development Planning, Implementation, Monitoring, and Evaluation.

Key Responsibilities

-Conduct community needs assessments and identify required development interventions.

-Coordinate the implementation of Livelihood and Resilience, Food Security, and Economic Development project plans within Area Programmes.

-Ensure availability of qualitative and quantitative data for reporting and monitoring.

-Build the capacity of volunteers, communities, schools, churches, and government partners in Livelihoods, Resilience, and Environmental Sustainability.

-Ensure participation of vulnerable children and families in cluster activities.

-Develop multi-year plans and indicative budgets for activities across the cluster.

-Support RC registration, monitoring, and marketing-related data processing.

-Implement audit and risk assessment recommendations in Food Security projects.

-Facilitate and report on activities, outputs, and outcomes in cluster communities.

-Represent World Vision at relevant field and district events related to Food Security and Economic Development.

-Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Experience

Minimum 3 years of experience in development facilitation.

BA/BSc Degree in Agriculture or related fields (Extension, Agricultural Economics, Animal Science, Crop Science).

-Professional technical skill certification is an added advantage.

Work Environment

-Office-based with frequent field travel.

-Travel requirement: 10% domestic/international.

-On-call requirement: 5%.
