Overview

ZMG Isuzu Motor Dealership is seeking a dedicated Vehicle Service Consultant to join our team. This role serves as a vital link between customers and the service department, ensuring a seamless and satisfying service experience. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, automotive knowledge, and a customer-focused approach to enhance client satisfaction and service efficiency.

Responsibilities

Customer Interaction & Service Coordination

  • Greet customers, assess their service needs, and provide professional assistance.
  • Explain service options, costs, and estimated timelines clearly.
  • Schedule appointments efficiently while managing service department workload.
  • Manage vehicle check-ins and pre-delivery inspections to ensure quality and safety standards.
  • Provide repair estimates and obtain customer approval before commencing work.
  • Keep customers informed about service progress, delays, and additional repair recommendations.

Work Order & Documentation Management

  • Create and maintain work orders in the Dealership Management System (DMS).
  • Document customer concerns, technician recommendations, and repair histories accurately.
  • Provide detailed service and repair estimates, including parts and labor costs.
  • Collaborate with the parts department to ensure timely availability of required components.
  • Manage warranty claims and service-related paperwork efficiently.

Customer Satisfaction & Retention

  • Conduct follow-up calls after service to assess customer satisfaction.
  • Address and resolve customer complaints professionally and in a timely manner.
  • Promote dealership service packages, maintenance plans, and additional offerings.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers to foster long-term loyalty.

Coordination with Service & Technical Teams

  • Communicate customer concerns effectively to technicians to ensure accurate service.
  • Work closely with the service manager to optimize workflow and service efficiency.
  • Ensure vehicles are ready for pickup on time and cleaned as required.

Compliance & Best Practices

  • Adhere to ZMG Isuzu Dealership’s service policies and brand standards.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and warranty guidelines.
  • Stay updated on Isuzu vehicle models, service procedures, and technical advancements.

Requirements

Qualifications & Experience

  • Education: Minimum of a Diploma; additional training or certification in automotive technology or customer service is advantageous.
  • Experience: At least two years in a customer-facing role, with basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance and repair processes.

Skills

  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Proficiency in computer systems and service management software.
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
