Overview
Unitrans, a leading supply chain and logistics service provider in Southern Africa, is seeking a General Worker to join its Rainbow Hammersdale contract in Durban. The successful candidate will assist drivers with the loading and offloading of goods, maintain a clean and safe working environment, and perform general duties as required.
This opportunity is ideal for reliable, physically fit, and hardworking individuals who are ready to contribute to a high-performing logistics team.
Key Responsibilities
-Assist truck drivers with loading and offloading of goods and materials.
-Ensure that outside walkways and loading areas remain clean, safe, and free of debris.
-Notify management or supervisors of any required repairs or maintenance.
-Maintain cleanliness and general housekeeping of premises and vehicles.
-Carry out any ad-hoc duties as assigned by supervisors.
-Follow all safety and operational procedures at all times.
Minimum Requirements
–Grade 12 / Matric / NQF Level 4 qualification.
–Medically fit and physically capable of performing manual tasks.
-Must have own reliable transport to and from work.
–Clean criminal record.
-Able to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
-Reliable, self-motivated, and able to work with minimal supervision.
-Strong teamwork and communication skills.
-Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, storage, and disposal methods (advantageous).
–Organised, punctual, and safety-conscious.
