📋 Job Summary

The Enumerators will be responsible for conducting door-to-door household surveys, ensuring data accuracy and quality, and meeting daily performance targets.

Successful candidates will collect household data across Lesotho’s 20 Community Councils as part of a national data-gathering initiative.


🧩 Key Responsibilities

  • Participate in training sessions and field tool pre-testing.
  • Conduct door-to-door household interviews and achieve set daily targets.
  • Perform data quality checks to ensure completeness and accuracy.
  • Record and report all incomplete or deferred interviews.
  • Ensure safe handling and proper use of data collection tablets; report technical issues promptly.
  • Provide daily field updates on progress and challenges.
  • Adhere strictly to interview guidelines and survey protocols.

🎓 Qualifications & Experience

  • Minimum: Diploma or Higher Diploma in Social Sciences, Statistics, Economics, or a related field.
  • Prior experience using digital data collection platforms (e.g., SurveyCTO, KoboTool, Survey123, or other ODK systems).
  • Proven experience in face-to-face interviews or community-based data collection.
  • Fluent in English and Sesotho.
  • Physically fit and able to walk long distances between households.
  • Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to work under pressure.
  • Must adhere to strict deadlines and reporting procedures.
