Overview

Letsema Horticulture Market is seeking a results-driven and detail-oriented Accounts Payables Officer to manage supplier payments and assist with overall financial operations. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth processing of accounts payable transactions while maintaining compliance and accuracy in all financial documentation.

Key Responsibilities

-Process supplier invoices and ensure accurate recording in the accounting system

-Reconcile supplier statements and resolve discrepancies

-Prepare payment runs in accordance with company policies

-Assist in budgeting, debtor management, and cash flow forecasting

-Maintain records of financial transactions and filing systems

-Work closely with the Accountant to support audit preparation and financial reporting

-Monitor due dates and ensure timely payments to vendors

Minimum Requirements

-Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

-Minimum of 2–3 years’ experience in accounts payable or finance

-Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software

-Strong understanding of Botswana tax and financial regulations

-Excellent attention to detail and numerical accuracy

-Good organizational and time management skills

-Ability to work independently and as part of a team
