Overview:
Intercare Group South Africa is seeking a reliable and professional Driver to join its Corporate Services team in Pretoria. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and timely transportation of staff, patients, and medical supplies, supporting the smooth operation of various Intercare facilities. This role plays a key part in upholding the organisation’s values of excellence, people-centred care, and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely transport staff, patients, and medical items to and from assigned locations.
- Ensure that the company vehicle is well-maintained and report any mechanical or maintenance concerns.
- Comply with all road safety and Intercare operational protocols.
- Plan and manage routes effectively to meet time-sensitive schedules.
- Maintain accurate trip logs, fuel usage records, and vehicle maintenance documentation.
- Support compliance with Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) standards.
- Provide courteous and professional service in line with Intercare’s Vision, Mission, and Values.
Requirements:
- Valid driver’s license and a Professional Driving Permit (PrDP).
- Minimum 2 years’ experience as a professional driver.
- Good knowledge of OHS practices is advantageous.
- Strong communication skills and customer service mindset.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, public holidays, and overtime on a rotational basis.
- Physically fit and able to assist with loading/unloading tasks when necessary.
- Familiarity with Pretoria routes and traffic patterns is a plus.
