About the BETA Project
The Business Environment and Technical Assistance (BETA) Project is part of the MCA-Lesotho II Compact. The project aims to enhance firm-level profitability and employment by supporting 50 mature businesses and 500 MSMEs, with a focus on women, youth, socially underprivileged groups, and MSMEs in rural areas. Priority is given to businesses in the horticulture sector.
Key Responsibilities
-Provide safe and reliable transportation services for project staff and personnel.
-Maintain knowledge of driving regulations and perform minor vehicle repairs when necessary.
-Update the vehicle logbook daily and submit mileage reports weekly.
-Collect and deliver official materials, including documents, to designated recipients.
-Conduct daily vehicle safety checks to ensure roadworthiness and promptly report and address any safety concerns.
-Notify the supervisor in advance about vehicle servicing needs, such as license disk renewal, to ensure timely handling.
-Maintain schedules for vehicle servicing, warranty agreements, maintenance plans, and other critical dates.
-Ensure vehicles are clean, parked securely, and all keys and accessories are kept safe.
-Regularly refuel vehicles and check fluid levels, tire pressure, and other maintenance needs.
-Perform additional duties as delegated.
Qualifications and Experience
-Minimum C.O.S.C. certificate.
-At least 5 years of professional driving experience.
-Defensive driving certification.
-Clean driving record with a valid driver’s license and Public Driver’s Permit (PDP).
-Familiarity with basic vehicle maintenance standards.
-Experience working in fast-paced environments.
-Previous experience with international organizations is an added advantage.
