Job Description

  • NCAMA Learnership NQF Level-2
  • Fixed-term contract (12 months)

Position Overview

Responsibilities / Accountabilities

-Participate in both classroom-based and on-the-job training in line with the learnership qualification and company requirements.

-Focus on key performance areas such as Safety, Quality, Productivity, Cost, and Delivery to meet business objectives by executing standardized workplace training.

-Learn the proper use of tools and equipment to perform specialized process tasks.

-Follow established workplace timelines and procedures.

-Contribute to improving assembly processes by suggesting efficient alternatives.

  • Provide production support as needed.
  • Maintain effective communication with peers and supervisors.
  • Demonstrate integrity in all work tasks and identify opportunities for improvement.

Performance Measures / Success Criteria

  • Successfully follow and complete the training program as outlined by FMCSA and MerSeta.
  • Adhere to a structured training schedule to ensure competency.
  • Complete the learnership within the designated time frame.
  • Rotate across shifts to gain broader experience during the training period.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSA)

  • Attention to detail (ATD) while working under supervision.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Organized, goal-oriented, and willing to learn on the job.
  • Results-driven with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Resilience and the ability to adapt in a dynamic work environment.

Qualifications and Experience

Learning Programme Requirements

  • Grade 12 certificate with a passing grade in the following subjects:
    • Grade 12 Pure Mathematics HG/SG (Maths Literacy, Additional Maths, Functional Maths, Commercial Maths, and Applied Maths are not acceptable).
    • Grade 12 English.
  • Only unemployed individuals are eligible to apply.
  • Applicants must be under 35 years of age.
