A KwaZulu-Natal mother is celebrating an incredible win after securing a life-changing R107 million Powerball jackpot. The lucky winner, who participated in the 13 September 2024 draw, bought her ticket via the FNB banking app and was later contacted by National Lottery Ithuba to confirm her win.

The mother, whose identity remains anonymous, shared her disbelief upon receiving the news. She said she texted her partner to inform him but still wasn’t sure how much she had won at the time. The numbers she had chosen were based on the birthdays and ages of her loved ones, adding a personal touch to her incredible win.

Despite having focused solely on playing Powerball for the past four months, she admitted she never believed she could win such a large sum.

Future Plans for the Jackpot

Now with millions in her bank account, the woman plans to quit her job and pursue dreams that were once out of reach. She revealed that she never had the opportunity to attend university, something she now wishes to provide for her children.

Additionally, she plans to travel the world and make donations to charities that support the elderly and children. Her life, and that of her family, has been transformed overnight, proving that a bit of faith and a few lucky numbers can change everything.
