Overview
Pick n Pay is looking to appoint over 20 proactive and organized Shelfpackers – General Merchandise to support our non-food departments in stores nationwide. These roles are essential in maintaining well-stocked, visually appealing shelves and helping customers find everyday essentials such as household items, stationery, cleaning supplies, and more.
Key Responsibilities
-Replenish shelves with general merchandise stock according to display plans
-Ensure correct labelling, pricing, and promotional signage
-Maintain attractive and well-organized product displays
-Monitor expiry dates, damaged goods, and stock rotation
-Maintain a clean and safe working environment, including floor and storage areas
-Assist customers with locating general merchandise items
-Report low stock levels or stock discrepancies to supervisors
-Prevent shrinkage and damages through safe product handling
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 10 (Grade 12 advantageous)
- Basic numeracy and literacy skills
- Good physical stamina to manage lifting and restocking
- Willingness to work flexible retail hours
- Responsible and detail-oriented approach to tasks
