Overview:
Choppies Botswana, the leading retail chain in the region, is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Buyer to join its dynamic Procurement Team. This position is ideal for candidates passionate about retail and supply chain operations, and eager to grow within a fast-paced, results-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities:
-Analyze sales and inventory data to guide strategic buying decisions.
-Conduct supplier and market research to secure competitive pricing.
-Forecast product demand and monitor stock levels across various retail outlets.
-Prepare and manage purchase orders to ensure prompt and efficient deliveries.
-Maintain regular communication with suppliers and internal departments.
-Generate and submit weekly and monthly procurement reports.
-Support cost-saving initiatives and evaluate supplier performance.
Requirements and Skills:
-Certificate in Purchasing and Supply Chain Management or related field (compulsory).
-Diploma qualification is considered an added advantage.
-Minimum of 3 years of experience in procurement or buying, preferably within a retail setting.
-Strong communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.
-Valid Class B Driverโs License.
