Overview
The City of Ekurhuleniโs Department of Sport, Recreation, Arts & Culture (SRAC) is looking for a Tractor Driver to maintain turf grass, stadia, and hard courts across the municipality. The successful candidate will ensure sporting facilities remain safe, functional, and well-kept for community use.
Key Responsibilities
-Cut grass on sports fields and surrounding areas.
-Transport raw materials using assigned vehicles.
-Clean, maintain, and store horticultural machinery and equipment.
-Report damages, faults, or irregularities to the supervisor.
-Water gardens, tilt flower beds, and maintain lawns using tanks and garden tools.
-Perform general painting and minor winter programme duties.
-Adhere strictly to Occupational Health & Safety Act requirements.
-Promote quality service delivery in line with Batho Pele Principles.
Requirements & Skills
-Minimum Grade 10 / ABET Level 1.
–Valid Code C Driverโs Licence.
-Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively.
–1 year relevant experience in grounds maintenance/tractor operations.
-Reliability, attention to detail, and adherence to safety protocols.
Remuneration & Benefits
–Annual Salary: R231,156 โ R317,076 (basic)
