Remuneration: R292,944.00 to R401,832.00 per annum (Basic salary plus benefits)

Overview

The Transport & Fleet Management Department of the City of Ekurhuleni is seeking reliable and experienced individuals to join the team as part-time Bus Drivers. This role is essential in providing safe, courteous, and efficient transport services to the community.

Key Responsibilities

-Operate Council buses on designated and approved bus routes.

-Conduct pre- and post-trip inspections and report any vehicle defects.

-Ensure all commuters pay approved tariffs and the ticketing system is operational.

-Maintain accurate trip journals and submit them at the end of each shift.

-Provide passengers with information on bus schedules, tariffs, and coupon validity.

-Report any incidents, route problems, or accidents and complete necessary documentation.

-Promote safety, order, and customer courtesy during all routes.

Minimum Requirements

-Grade 10 (Standard 8)

-Valid Code C, EC, or EC1(04) driverโ€™s license with PrDP

-At least 1 year of experience driving a bus or heavy-duty truck

-Good communication and interpersonal skills
