Overview

Tiger Brands is seeking a dedicated Filler Packer to support processing and packaging operations within a fast-paced FMCG manufacturing environment in Isando. This role involves performing manual and basic operational tasks, operating primary and secondary packaging machinery, and ensuring that production standards, quality expectations and safety regulations are consistently met. The position also serves as a phase-out or waiting area while Autonomous Operators receive training.

Key Responsibilities

โ€“ Carry out manual and basic operational tasks in line with MECP standards and SOPs.
โ€“ Operate processing and packaging equipment within defined organisational parameters.
โ€“ Maintain equipment hygiene and cleanliness; complete operational documents and records.
โ€“ Respond appropriately to quality control and quality assurance results.
โ€“ Report non-conformances and adhere to key production KPIs.
โ€“ Follow staggered break schedules to support continuous production.
โ€“ Apply Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and maintain high housekeeping standards.
โ€“ Ensure compliance with Health and Safety regulations and safe machine operation.
โ€“ Report unsafe conditions and ensure safety features of equipment are functional.
โ€“ Participate in improvement initiatives including Invocoms, SGA processes, MECP and 20 Keys.
โ€“ Follow company policies, procedures, and the manufacturing protocol at all times.

Minimum Requirements

โ€“ Matric / Grade 12 (advantageous for FMCG production roles).
โ€“ Experience in FMCG production, packaging or general factory operations is beneficial.
โ€“ Ability to follow SOPs, GMP standards and safety protocols.
โ€“ Ability to perform manual labour and operate basic machinery.
โ€“ Strong attention to detail and willingness to work in a team-based environment.
โ€“ Understanding of workplace safety and hazard reporting.
