Overview:
Botswana Savings Bank is seeking to employ three Tellers for its branches in Hukuntsi, Maun, and Francistown. The successful candidates will provide frontline customer service, accurately process financial transactions, and promote the bank’s products and services in alignment with operational policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Count cash in the drawer at the beginning and end of each shift and perform daily cash reconciliations.
- Receive deposits, payments, and conduct withdrawals per laid-down procedures.
- Process checks, card transactions, and foreign currency exchanges.
- Answer customer queries related to accounts and transaction history.
- Assist customers with ordering cards, checks, and other banking requests.
- Prepare specialized funds such as savings bonds, travelerโs checks, and money orders.
- Promote and sell the bankโs products and services.
- Maintain adequate stock of cash, stationery, and banking supplies.
- Ensure all transactions are recorded accurately in compliance with bank policies.
- Uphold confidentiality of customer information and protect bank assets.
- Participate in dual control procedures, teller audits, and branch compliance tasks.
- Perform any other related duties as assigned by the Branch Manager.
Requirements:
Qualifications:
- Diploma or equivalent qualification (required).
- A Diploma in Sales, Accounting, or Business Studies will be an added advantage.
Experience:
- Previous experience in a customer-facing role is advantageous.
