Job Overview

The Cosmetic Consultant is responsible for promoting and selling cosmetics, skincare, fragrance, and beauty products while delivering exceptional customer service. The role focuses on achieving sales targets, managing stock effectively, and creating attractive product displays that enhance the customer shopping experience.

Minimum Requirements

Essential

• Grade 12 / Matric
• Retail sales experience
• Computer literacy
• Willing and able to work retail hours

Advantageous

• Experience in cosmetics, fragrance, or beauty sales

Key Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer care and professional service
• Demonstrate products through makeovers, cosmetic demonstrations, and promotional activities
• Achieve department, brand, and vendor sales targets
• Manage cosmetic and beauty house promotions
• Maintain attractive merchandising and displays
• Monitor and report on short, damaged, or expired stock
• Ensure proper stock rotation and stock management
• Manage salon bookings (where applicable)
• Escalate serious customer complaints to management
• Adhere to company policies, SOPs, and health and safety regulations

• Strong command of English (verbal and written)
• Customer-focused and service-driven
• Ability to understand sales targets and commission structures
• Team player with strong interpersonal skills
• Ability to follow task schedules and retail procedures
