Overview:

Pedros is seeking an energetic and customer-focused Cashier to join the team at Sandown Retail Crossing, Parklands. The ideal candidate will ensure smooth and accurate transaction processing while maintaining excellent service standards in a busy fast-food environment.

Purpose of the Role:

To provide efficient and friendly customer service by processing transactions timeously and accurately, while promoting sales and maintaining front-of-house standards.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Greet and serve customers in a warm and professional manner.
2. Accurately process customer orders and payments on the POS system.
3. Ensure fast-paced service to maintain flow and minimize wait times.
4. Educate customers about ongoing promotions and menu options.
5. Apply upselling techniques to increase ticket size and promote specials.
6. Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the service counter area.
7. Ensure adequate stock levels at the front-of-house are maintained.

Requirements:

• Senior Certificate (Matric required; National Senior Certificate preferred)
• Minimum 1 year of experience as a cashier (preferably in a Quick Service Restaurant environment)
• Strong literacy and numeracy skills
• Friendly, professional, and service-oriented personality
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, including weekends and holidays
