Overview:

CIRO, a leading coffee importer and roaster under AVI Limited, is looking for experienced Drivers to join its team in Ndabeni, Cape Town. CIRO is known for providing comprehensive services in the coffee industry, from sourcing and roasting to distribution. This role involves delivering products and equipment from the Distribution Centre, ensuring timely and efficient service while maintaining high standards of customer interaction.

Responsibilities:

-Safely and efficiently deliver products or equipment to customers, ensuring timely and correct deliveries.

-Ensure all stock is handled with care and in excellent condition during transport.

-Collect Proof of Delivery (POD) for all deliveries.

-Follow assigned delivery routes using the Route Optimization tool (OTR) or trip sheets.

-Complete daily trip sheets and perform daily vehicle checks.

  • Load the vehicle with stock before departure and offload returned goods as per instructions.
  • Notify the Expeditor of any returned orders and ensure proper handling of returned stock.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and condition of the vehicle.
  • Follow all traffic laws and company regulations, and be responsible for any traffic fines due to driver error.
  • Attend daily debriefing sessions and complete all required documentation.
  • Adhere to all safety, health, and environmental regulations.
  • Assist as a Van Assistant when required.
  • Report any accidents or incidents immediately to management.

Requirements:

  • Education: Completed Matric (Grade 12).
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of driving experience.
  • License: Valid Code 10 Driverโ€™s License with a valid PDP (Professional Driving Permit).
  • Other Requirements:
    • Must be fully vaccinated against Covid-19 at the time of employment.
    • Willingness to work extended hours when necessary.
