Overview

The Limpopo Department of Social Development invites applications for two Cleaner posts in the Capricorn District. The successful candidates will ensure a clean, safe, and hygienic environment across departmental facilities, supporting infection prevention and quality service delivery.

Key Responsibilities

-Provide professional cleaning services in allocated areas (offices, passages, ablutions, treatment areas).

-Keep and maintain cleaning materials and equipment in good working condition.

-Request, receive, and account for cleaning consumables and equipment.

-Implement and maintain hygiene, infection prevention, and basic safety measures.

-Adhere to schedules, standard operating procedures, and Batho Pele principles.

Requirements and Skills

• Qualification: Junior Certificate / Standard 8 (Grade 10) / AET/ABET (or equivalent).
• Knowledge & Skills:
  • Batho Pele Principles and customer care basics.
  • Basic safety and hygiene practices; infection control and hazard monitoring.
  • Interpersonal and communication skills; time management.
• Ability to follow instructions, work neatly and safely, and handle cleaning equipment and chemicals responsibly.
