Overview

Eskom, South Africaโ€™s leading electricity utility, is offering opportunities through the Youth Employment Service (YES) 2025 programme. This initiative aims to empower young South Africans by providing valuable work experience within Eskomโ€™s operations. Successful candidates will be placed across various divisions to gain skills, knowledge, and exposure in different fields, contributing to their career development.

Key Responsibilities

-Participate in structured on-the-job training within Eskom divisions.

-Assist teams with administrative and operational tasks.

-Learn and adhere to Eskom policies, procedures, and safety standards.

-Contribute to improving service delivery within assigned departments.

-Engage in mentorship and development programmes designed for YES learners.

Minimum Requirements

-Must be a South African Citizen.

-Age between 18 to 34 years.

-Must have Grade 12 (Matric) or equivalent; post-matric qualifications will be an advantage.

Selection Criteria

  • Must not have been employed permanently with one employer continuously for more than 1 year.
  • Must not be studying full-time in the year of employment.
  • Must not have previously participated or registered on the YES initiative.
  • Applicants will undergo a recruitment process and, if successful, will be placed at Eskom Operations across different locations.
