Overview
Brights Hardware is recruiting a General Assistant for the Drive Thru Yard Department in Blackheath. This role is responsible for ensuring excellent customer service, accurate product loading, and smooth yard operations while preventing stock losses and maintaining customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Load customer vehicles, delivery trucks, and transfer trucks promptly and accurately.
- Ensure stock is stacked, counted, and pulled correctly for transfers.
- Report stock shortages and breakages.
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment through regular housekeeping.
- Provide product knowledge and excellent customer service.
- Bag stone and sand as required.
- Participate in perpetual stocktakes.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisors.
Requirements and Skills
- Matric / equivalent qualification.
- At least 1 year of relevant experience (preferred).
- Strong customer service orientation.
- Good numeracy skills to count and check stock.
- Physically fit and able to handle manual tasks.
- Good verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and within a team.
- Self-disciplined, motivated, and able to work under pressure.
