Overview
Woodlands Dairy (Pty) Ltd is seeking a General Worker to join its Logistics Depot in George, Western Cape. This permanent position is ideal for a reliable and safety-conscious individual who can support daily warehouse and logistics operations.
The role focuses on stock handling, loading and offloading, housekeeping, and hygiene compliance within a food production and logistics environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform general warehouse duties
- Pick stock accurately according to operational requirements
- Assist with stock counts and inventory control
- Load and offload delivery trucks safely and efficiently
- Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and housekeeping standards
- Manage waste control in line with company procedures
- Apply FIFO and LIFO stock rotation principles correctly
Requirements & Skills
- Grade 12 (Matric)
- Completion of SP2 (essential)
- Reliable personal transport
- Valid Code 08 driverโs licence (essential)
- Forklift licence (advantageous)
- Basic understanding of health and safety practices
- Ability to work in a fast-paced logistics environment
Knowledge & Competencies
- Understanding of FIFO and LIFO stock control principles
- Good attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong work ethic and reliability
- Awareness of hygiene standards within a food logistics environment
