These roles are vital to ensuring that offices, schools, health facilities, and community centres remain clean, hygienic, and safe for employees and the public. Key Responsibilities
- Perform general cleaning duties, including sweeping, mopping, dusting, polishing, and vacuuming.
- Clean and sanitize offices, restrooms, classrooms, and meeting venues.
- Collect refuse, empty bins, and dispose of waste appropriately.
- Maintain common areas such as lobbies, passages, and staircases.
- Wash mirrors, windows, and other glass surfaces.
- Adhere to health, safety, and hygiene standards.
- Safeguard and manage cleaning materials responsibly.
Entry Requirements
- Minimum qualification: Grade 9/ABET Level 2 (Grade 10 preferred).
- No prior experience required; cleaning experience will be an advantage.
- Basic knowledge of cleaning detergents, equipment, and Occupational Health & Safety.
- Ability to work independently and in a team.
- Physically fit, reliable, and able to perform manual labour.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills.
Salary & Benefits
- Salary: R138 486 per annum (Level 2, Government Pay Scale).
- Leave: Annual leave and other benefits as per Government regulations.
