Overview:
UPD is seeking a detail-oriented GRN Clerk to join the Operations Inbound team in Durban. The successful candidate will ensure accurate processing of supplier invoices, effective compliance with Good Wholesaling and Distribution Practice (GWDP), and adherence to UPDโs standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Responsibilities:
-Accurately capture supplier invoices into the Warehouse Management System (WMS) to meet service levels and cut-off times.
-Generate Goods Received Notes (GRNs) daily, ensuring alignment with supplier invoice quantities and values.
-Maintain a clean and organised GRN workstation in accordance with health and safety standards.
-Escalate and document any disputes, discrepancies, or errors to relevant stakeholders before the end of each shift.
-Handle product returns following UPD SOPs and ensure compliance with stock rotation principles (FEEFO/FIFO).
-Immediately report and record any breakages or spillages according to internal procedures.
-Achieve daily operational targets and maintain service standards.
-Use SAP and KNAPP systems for order and inventory management.
-Maintain compliance with stock and financial reporting practices.
Requirements:
Education and Experience:
-Essential: Matric / Grade 12 or ABET Level 4
-Desirable: 1 year of experience in the pharmaceutical industry
-Experience using SAP and KNAPP systems preferred
Knowledge and Skills:
-Basic knowledge of warehousing and pharmaceutical distribution
-Computer proficiency, especially in Microsoft Excel
-Strong numerical accuracy and attention to detail
-Effective communication and teamwork abilities
-Ability to meet strict deadlines and perform under pressure
