Overview

Tshepa Hollard is seeking an experienced and innovative Head of Pricing and Product Development to join its Actuarial Services team. This senior leadership role will focus on the pricing, design, and technical development of long-term insurance products, contributing directly to the strategic direction of Hollard Life products in Botswana.


Position Purpose

To lead pricing and product development activities for life insurance products, ensuring strategic alignment, technical soundness, and delivery of high-value solutions that meet customer and regulatory expectations.


Key Responsibilities

-Contribute to the implementation and execution of Hollard Life’s product strategy.

-Drive the design, pricing, and refinement of long-term insurance products in line with the product development control cycle.

-Prepare and review product documentation for both new and existing offerings, ensuring clear records of processes and decisions.

-Conduct system configuration, updates, and maintenance for product integration.

-Monitor and report on risk performance for insurance products.

-Provide technical support for business units in data analysis, actuarial modelling, and product research.

-Ensure fair treatment of customers and adherence to service standards.

-Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the actuarial function.


Minimum Qualifications

-Fellow of the Actuarial Society of South Africa (FASSA) or equivalent international actuarial qualification.

-Specialisation in Life Insurance is preferred.


Experience Requirements

-Minimum of 5 to 10 years of experience in long-term insurance, with a strong focus on pricing and product development.
